This was our second time ordering food from La Playa. We love it! Everything we order is delicious. This time we ordered the Carne Asada Platter, Chicken super burrito, and fish and chips. The Carne Asada is my favorite. So yum! Even their french fries are the best. We will definitely be back.
Let's get straight to the point: the burrito was good. Balanced throughout, perfectly warm. Unfortunately, it wasn't as large as other burritos in the city, despite being a bit pricey. 14 or 15 dollars for just the super burrito. It is slightly cheaper if you decide to use cash. I just wish there was a bit more meat stuffed inside. I decided to take my burrito home, since the inside is rather small, with bar-like seating. The place is still very inviting, with classic taqueria touches, although I wouldn't come here if I wanted a sit-down meal. Ultimately, the kindness of the workers and overall consistency of La Playa over the years will definitely have me coming back!
Their spicy Ortega breakfast burrito was spicy! I normally don't do spicy too well but luckily there was a liquor store next door for me to grab some milk and cool off. I came from the block party and needed something to soak up the excess alcohol and that burrito did a good job. Thank you to the cashier that gave me extra napkins! Man, I was sweating! I think I found a new burrito spot! I'll be back.
All i could ask for was complimentary chips. They gave it to me. So gosh darn beaut. This has become a regular spot near the beach 4 me
Quick service and good food that always hits the spot. There is an older man that works there who doesnt give back cash change for some reason but all the women that work there do and are always super nice.
